Microsoft today announced they will be offering unlimited storage on their OneDrive platform for Office 365 clients.

OneDrive is Microsofts answer to cloud storage solutions such as Dropbox, the service, originally known as SkyDrive has been developing over the last 6 months to improve service to client and allow them to stand out against the crowd of storage providers, its seemless link with Office 365 makes it the natural service to use with it and todays announcement will only bolster that.

The service will start to roll out to today to Home, Personal, and University customers with business clients following in 2015.

While unlimited storage is another important milestone for OneDrive we believe the true value of cloud storage is only realized when it is tightly integrated with the tools people use to communicate, create, and collaborate, both personally and professionally. That is why unlimited storage is just one small part of our broader promise to deliver a single experience across work and life that helps people store, sync, share, and collaborate on all the files that are important to them, all while meeting the security and compliance needs of even the most stringent organizations.”  – Chris Jones, Microsoft’s corporate vice president, OneDrive & SharePoint.
